Abstract:

This paper deals with algebraic stability analysis and investigating the existence of proportional stabilizing controllers on the basis of frequency response data. Firstly, it is shown that using the available results in this subject may yield in inconsistent subsequences in the cases that there is a critical inflection point in phase diagram of the open-loop/process transfer function. Then, to solve this inconsistency problem some modifications are proposed. Finally, conditions for ensuring the existence of critical inflection point in phase diagram of a dynamical system are analytically found.

Abstract:

Bubble column reactors are used in a wide variety of applications such as multiphase bioreactors, catalytic slurry reactors, and absorption processes. The superficial gas velocity-gas holdup relationship and transition point are two important parameters for characterizing the hydrodynamics of a bubble column reactor. In this study, systematic investigation of a nitrogen - water - glass beads bubble column was conducted using the Taguchi experimental design method. The L16 (45) orthogonal array was selected for experiments design. Results showed that the order of importance of parameters is as follows: bed porosity, the ratio of height to diameter, and superficial gas velocity. A novel mathematical model was developed using the experimental data and based on 4th order polynomial. This model was successfully used to obtain the transition point with a high accuracy. The results of the mathematical method were in close agreement with those of the drift flux method. For liquid level of H=12D and slurry content of 13 vol%, transition velocity of 2.98 cm/s was calculated using the presented method, while a velocity of 3.14 cm/s was obtained from the drift flux method.

Abstract:

This article describes Inflection in Persian. It is claimed that inflection in Persian has not received enough attention, maybe because typologically, modern Persian is not an inflectional language. In this article, after introducing the topic, and presenting some of the important analyses of western linguists, and some of the studies conducted by Persian researchers, Persian int1ectional features are introduced and classified, using a continuum model. The article emphasizes that analyzing and explaining Persian data with the total reliance on the models and theories of western linguists may lead to unsatisfactory results.

Abstract:

Direct measurement of soil unsaturated hydraulic conductivity (K (h) or K (q)) is difficult and time-consuming, and often in many applied models, predicting hydraulic conductivity is carried out according to measurements of soil retention curve and saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ks). However, using KS as a matching point in many procedures may result in over-estimation of unsaturated hydraulic conductivity in dry regions. Therefore, the unsaturated hydraulic conductivity at inflection point of retention curve (Ki) and Ks was used as a matching point to predict K (h). For measurement of K (h), 30 soil samples were collected based on variety of soil texture (8 texture classes from sandy to clay) and other chemical and physical properties. In addition to Ks, K (q) values of undisturbed samples were measured using multi-step outflow method at matric suctions of 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.5 0.7, 1 bar and inflection point of retention curve by using hanging water column and pressure plate. Then, the measured K (h), and water diffusivity (D (q)) values were compared to the predicted values of van Genuchten and Brooks and Corey models (with Mualem and Burdine constraint). The results showed that for 80% of the samples, the van Genuchten-Mualem model with Ki was the best model for predicting K (h) (i.e. using Ki as a matching point in the van Genuchten-Mualem model resulted in best fitting to measured data). Also, in 6.7% of samples (two sandy clay samples), Brooks and Corey-Mualem model with Ki and in 13.3% soil samples (2 silty clay and 2 silty clay loam samples), van Genouchten-Mualem model had a best fitting to K (h) measured data. Furthermore, in 20% samples (4 clay loam, and 2 silt loam textures), the accuracy and efficiency of van Genuchten-Mualem with Ki and van Genuchten-Mualem models in predicting K (h) were almost similar. According to t-Student test, the mean of RMSE and GSDER of van Genuchten-Mualem model with Ki was significantly less than van Genuchten-Mualem model at P<0.01. In 90 percent of samples, van Genuchten-Mualem and Brooks and Corey-Burdine theory had the best fitting to the measured data of water diffusivity, but in some cases van Genuchten-Burdine model with Ki was the best model for predicting D(q).

Abstract:

This paper was written on the structure of Inflection Phrase (IP) in Persian. In the Framework of X’-Theory. IP is the unit of syntax analysis of language. In other words, every sentence is an IP. In Persian TP, MP, AspP and VP are the complements of I, T, Mood and Asp.During the inflection process, the head V cyclicly moves to the above mentioned head to accept the national content of aspect, modality, tense and subject agreement. The markers stand for these notional categories are of auxiliaries, affixes or clitics. In Persian, the only auxiliary verb is “budan” (in three forms: “ast”, “bud” and “bash”) which is appeared in the node of inflection. The other inflectional markers are tense, mode and subject agreement markers. Finally, we have analysed Persian inflection phrase on the basis of x-bar theory. Consequently, some key points and hints are proposed on Persian future tense, continuous aspect and passive voice.

Abstract:

As one of the most important and also the most challenging processes in morphology field, inflection has been under scrutiny from different points of view. Construction Morphology (CM) as one of the subsequent approaches in morphology with a structural perspective attempts to establish a systematic relationship between form and meaning and in this regard it introduces a means to analyze miscellaneous morphological processes, including inflection. The present study depicts the inflectional forms of verb in Sanandaji dialect of Kurdish in the Construction Morphology framework based on data taken from 1000 sentences, including 100 simple Sanandaji Kurdish verbs compiled by authors. What this paper copes with is the inflectional constructions analysis of simple verb in Kurdish using the constructional schemas. As a result, it is indicated in some cases by which there is no common basis between present and past stem of the verb, second-order schemas are capable of establishing such relationship properly.

Abstract:

This study aims to investigate verbs inflection in Ghaen dialect, and doing the same, examines the existence of ergative-absulatlive case marking system in this dialect. The ergative structure is one of the features that has survived in some Iranian dialects (such as Kermanji, Taleshi, Tati, Baluchi, etc. ) while in others (such as Contemporary Farsi, Central and Southern Kurds, Lori, Mazandaran, Gilaki, etc. ), they have lost their role and replaced it with other types of case-marking systems, including nominative-accusative. The research data collection was conducted in the field and in the library method in the city of Ghaen which is located in the southern Khorasan between 33 to 34 degrees north latitude and 38 to 60 degrees east longitude. The data analysis showed that this dialect as one of the Iranian north –,eastern ones preserved a feature of semi-ergativity from middle era up to now.

Abstract:

Lysozyme activity is one of the nonspecific immunity parameters measured by changing the amount of adsorption at different times. The objective of the present study was to compare five non-linear models including Gompertz, Richards, Logistic, Lopez, and Weilbull to describe the cumulative plasma lysozyme activity in quails. In total 1364 plasma samples (1004 females and 360 males) were collected and the cumulative lysozyme activity was calculated by turbidimetric method assay in Micrococcus luteus. The goodness-of-fit of models was compared according to different criteria of Maximum log-likelihood, Akaike information criterion, Mean square error, and Bayesian information criterion. The results showed that the Gompertz model was the best model for describing of decreasing cumulative pattern of lysozyme activity in female and male quails and provided satisfactory predictions of lysozyme activity at different times (30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180, 210, 240, 270, 300 seconds). The parameters of all models were higher in females than males except for the k parameter which was greater in the males. Male quails had higher values for time and lysozyme activity than females at inflection points, whereas the absolute growth rate in 30, 150, and 300 seconds was predicted higher in female quails. In conclusion, the Gompertz model can be used accurately to evaluate cumulative lysozyme activity patterns in both sexes of quails.
